About Me
My name is Celia Leofsy. I was born in England but when I was young I grew up in Egypt. A war started in Egypt when I lived there and I had to escape with my family leaving all our possessions behind - this was all before I was 8 years old.
When I returned home I trained to be an accountant and worked for many years as a financial manager. I have always been an avid reader of myths and legends. I am a very big fan of J. R. R. Tolkein and his books, especially The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. However, my own research has uncovered exciting differences between his books and the real legends behind the creatures called dwarfs and elves. As with many writers, I drew on all my experiences to write The Company of Goblins. If you dare to read it, you may discover that REAL goblins and REAL elves are very different than you think! |
![]() I have always been interested in writing. I wrote stories and poems even as a child. For many years this was only a hobby, but after taking writing courses and meeting many writers and editors I took up writing professionally.
I became a member of the Hampshire Writers Society which further helped me in mastering the art of writing. I would like to thank Barbara Large MBE, FRSA, HFUW, Beverley Birch, and my editor Jenny Knowles for all their help with my writing and my books.
