I met a really great group at the Gosport Discovery Centre yesterday where I gave a talk on my journey to publication, my book, and poetry.
My talk was made all the more enjoyable when a lively debate developed. There was interest in my writing group, The Hampshire Writers’ Society, and we talked about authors, such as P D James, and Lady Carnarvon. Most of all, everyone seemed to really enjoy the selection of poetry that I presented.
I must admit that I was a bit nervous of giving a talk to adults as I’ve just finished a series of talks on the libraries’ Mythical Maze Challenge for children. But I needn’t have worried – as one lady said, ‘It doesn’t matter what your age – just stay young at heart.’
